As we plummet through space on this planet called earth, the sky becomes something new to ponder each day. The constant figures in the heavens are with us always, reminding us both that we are small and that we are part of something immense beyond imagination.

This year use the sidereal calendar to feel close to our neighbors in space and the ancestors that studied the same sky eons before our time.

About The Sidereal Calendar

Design

Sidereal motion is motion relative to the background stars, so the calendars show the positions of planets as they appear in the nighttime sky.  The position of the sun, seasonal changes, eclipses, and lunar phases are also shown on the sidereal calendar alongside the traditional Gregorian calendar.

The concentric circles show the positions of different solar system bodies throughout the year. By following a line from the outside of the circle to the inside you can see where each body lies relative to the background stars every day throughout the year.
